Freeman Event & Exhibit Services Video Sizzle

Project Description: In my role as Associate Creative Director of Branding Marketing at Freeman, I took the lead in developing a captivating end-of-year video titled “Freeman Event & Exhibit Services Video Sizzle.” This project aimed to showcase the remarkable work done within our Event and Exhibit Services (E&ES) business line, energizing our employees while providing a powerful tool for onboarding and enhancing understanding of our diverse range of services.

About Freeman: Freeman is a global industry leader, specializing in live events, exhibits, conferences, and tradeshows. With an extensive history of successful events, we offer integrated event services that our clients can trust, backed by our unparalleled experience.

Project Goals: Our primary objective was to excite our employees about their contributions in their respective Lines of Business (LOBs) and the significant impact they have on our customers. Additionally, we aimed to create a resource for onboarding that would help new team members better understand the breadth and depth of our services.

Featured Clients: We proudly highlighted our partnerships with several key clients, including SEMA Central, DCW- IBS & KBIS, Coffee Expo, CES, ASCRS + Tap Room, and NAB from 2022 (experiential zones). The video also included glimpses of our impressive booth designs for Siemens at CES, Kohler at KBIS, AMD at CES, and Alcon.

Audience Engagement: To resonate with our audience, we focused on addressing their key concerns:

  1. Ease of Doing Business: We showcased our dedicated team at Exhibitor Services and Freeman employees engaging with clients on the show floor, highlighting the friendly and approachable nature of our staff.
  2. Single Source for All Needs: The video provided a behind-the-scenes look at our comprehensive event services, from building setups with time-lapse footage to exhibit builds and signage production.
  3. Increasing Audiences/Growing: To emphasize our ability to accommodate growing audiences, we featured shots of large crowds during registration and within show halls at events like CES and SEMA.
  4. Show Floor Engagement: We highlighted the unique areas we constructed for our clients, showcasing our commitment to creating engaging and visually impressive spaces on the show floor.

Challenges Faced: One of the primary challenges was to create four distinct videos that shared a common look and feel while catering to each specific Line of Business and the overall Freeman brand. Additionally, we had limited opportunities for new footage capture, relying on the content collected over the past year.

Results Achieved: Through diligent editing and creativity, we successfully crafted a series of videos that not only met our goals but also saved the company approximately $10,000 per video by completing the work in-house. These videos effectively highlighted the unique characteristics of each business line and their respective audiences.

In this particular video, we were especially proud to showcase our diverse workforce, a source of immense pride for Freeman. The positive feedback from our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) reflected the video’s success in energizing our team, and the content continues to circulate, reinforcing our brand’s commitment to excellence in event and exhibit services.
